Overview The West Chester University Department of Health and Physical Education trains educators and promotes lifetime physical activity, fitness, and health through its undergraduate and graduate degrees, programs, and curriculum. The West Chester University Department of Health and Physical Education Collection includes correspondence, departmental and course materials, events, promotional materials, and publications, as well as artifacts and ephemera.

Overview The West Chester University Department of Public Safety collection contains materials related to the development and evolution of the university’s Department of Public Safety (DPS). These materials give insight into the department’s safety procedures, staff, and resources between the 1960s to 1993.

Overview The West Chester University Exton Corporate Center Collection contains materials related to the university's Exton Campus building. This collection includes primarily course catalogs of credit and non-credit course offerings at the Exton Campus. Materials range in date from Fall 1987 to Spring 1991.

This collection includes programs, pamphlets, flyers, newsletters, and publications about or related to the Frederick Douglass Institute and the Frederick Douglass Society. Materials range in date from 1987-2007.

Overview The West Chester University Graduate School and Continuing Education Collection contains items related to graduate studies, continuing education, and community outreach classes at West Chester University (WCU). The collection consists of interdepartmental correspondence, departmental materials such as course offerings and brochures, publications, and documents related to the community school. Materials range in date from 1956 to 1999.

Overview The West Chester University Institute of Race and Ethnic Studies Collection contains information regarding the Institute's founding and the Minor in Ethnic Studies at the university. Materials include documents related to academic programs and cultural events, as well as publications by and scrapbooks about the Institute and its academic partners. Materials range in date from the early 1970s to 2006, with most materials ranging in date between 1970 to 1990.

Overview The West Chester University Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Collection features action plans, correspondence, promotional materials for training events, and social equity and affirmative action policies and procedures. A majority of this collection's materials are from the Office of Social Equity, a previous iteration of West Chester University's Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI). Materials range in date from 1973-2007.

Overview The West Chester University University College Collection features materials that highlight the University College's past course offerings and opportunities to West Chester University students and the general public. The collection includes correspondence, course catalogs, meeting minutes, newsletters, and brochures. Materials date from 1984-1991.

Overview The West Chester University Valkyrie Club Collection includes memorabilia and photographs from the Valkyrie Club, a service learning club comprised of Health and Physical Education students. Materials range in date from 1928 to 2012, with the majority being from 1928-1973.

Overview The West Chester University Writing Project Collection includes materials related to PA Writing Project and the Young Writers/Young Readers Program, as well as writing workshops for WCU students and faculty. The collection includes correspondence, departmental and promotional materials, memorabilia, newsletters, and program publications. Materials range in date from 1979 to 2016.
